Basque Country Wine Dinner



We got off to an exciting start today, inkeeper Mary found a dog lounging in our fountain.  Apparently, he had quite an adventure wandering the neighborhood and wanted to cool off. We had to catch him and keep him at the Inn until his owner arrived. It turns out that even being  an older dog, Lightning still lived up to his name! If anyone is planning on visiting Stillwater this weekend, there are some fun free activities happening this Saturday! As part of an Open House for this summer, there will be free Trolley Tours and Andiamo Boat Tours. There will also be music, dancing and a magician at Teddy Bear park for the little ones. The fire and police departments will also be displaying some of their equipment in Lowell Park.

Here at the Inn, all of the staff  is bustling about today getting ready for tonight’s wine dinner, “Basque Country”. I just finished arranging flowers for the table. They look gorgeous! It will be a great night for the dinner, the weather is wonderful. Placing the menus on the table, I couldn’t stop my own stomach from grumbling. It sounds delicious! Chef Ray Wyatt did let me sample the dessert, which is a custard tart. It was divine… Here is the menu for this evening:
